Because of the oil spill, we've been asked what we are going to do as local seafood restaurants in Pensacola, Florida. We want you to know that our first priority is to support our friends, neighbors and families who live and make their living along the Gulf of Mexico coastline. We are determined as a group to lend our time and resources towards helping in the recovery from this imminent disaster. During this uncertain period regarding this tragedy, we want you to also know that at the Great Southern Restaurant Group, The Fish House, Jackson's and The Atlas Oyster House, supporting the local fisheries and fisherman in our area is very important to us. We will continue to work closely with them to monitor the situation and purchase seafood from them as long as we can. When and if the time comes that we can no longer purchase seafood from our Gulf waters, we will search the earth to provide the highest quality seafood available for you, our guests. Like all Pensacolians, right now we don't know exactly what the outcome of this oil spill will be. We hold true to the belief that together as a community we can, with enough hard work and determination, eventually make it through this.
