Popular Question:  "What is the difference between the Fish House and the Atlas Oyster House restaurants, located next door to each other?"

The main difference is that Atlas has a more casual atmosphere than the Fish House and serves fresh oysters on the half shell, fried, baked, and steamed oysters, as well as other steamed seafood. There is a bit of menu overlap, but each restaurant features separate specials, and each has fresh-off-the-dock seafood, cold-smoked steaks, sushi, sandwiches, a children's menu, a full liquor bar, and special rooms for private events. There's no dress code for either restaurant.

Newly added to the Great Southern Restaurant Group's operations, Jackson's Steakhouse features Southern-influenced American cuisine, specializing in midwestern USDA choice, grain-fed, wet-aged beef from the heartland of America, fresh seafood, and innovative dish preparations. The restaurant's logo is a re-creation of Andrew Jackson's signature. Jackson's, already a Pensacola landmark, took painstaking care to create visual art through interior decorating. Renovation began in 1997 and it took two years to complete the building. The entire interior--from the light fixtures and wall coverings to the artwork--has been hand done by prestigious artisans. Founding restaurant partners Chef Irv Miller and Barry Phillips attend daily to the restaurant's award-winning reputation and iconic status in the Gulf Coast market.
