Downtown Forces Join to Create Culinary Powerhouse

The owners of The Fish House, The Fish House Deck Bar, and Atlas Oyster House announce the acquisition of the award-winning Jackson’s Restaurant. Will, Burney, and Collier Merrill, together with Irv Miller and Barry Phillips, proprietors of Jackson’s, will be joining forces effective April 1, 2008, becoming the premier restaurant group on the Gulf Coast. Collier Merrill, president of the Great Southern Restaurant Group, welcomed the opportunity to expand their restaurant portfolio.
