Cupcake contest raises funds for cancer research

Cupcakes for a good cause must be calorie-free, right?

From 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, a dozen Good Grits Girls, employees of the Great Southern Restaurant Group, will present more than 1,000 cupcakes to the public for judging. The event, which takes place at The Fish House in downtown Pensacola, will crown the Great Southern Cupcake Queen and raise money for the American Cancer Society.
For $5, the public can taste all of the cupcakes and vote for their favorite baker. 100% of the tasting fees will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
The evening will include door prizes, drink specials and entertainment by Lucas Crutchfield.
